A founding partner of Royal Document Destruction, John Daly has a unique blend of finance, sales management and operations management experience which he brings to the ownership team.
On a personal note, John grew up in Carmel, Indiana and graduated from Miami University with a degree in accounting. He has been married to his wife, Laura, for 15 years, and they have three great boys – David, Jared and Jack.
John gained experience across a broad array of industries before becoming a founding partner of Royal Document Destruction. John’s first job after college brought him to Columbus, Ohio where he began his career at Bank One (now J.P. Morgan Chase) in the internal auditing department. After three years at Bank One and a wedding, John and Laura moved to Champagne, Illinois where he was hired as the controller for Collegiate Cap and Gown, a division of Herff Jones.
In 1995, John, Laura and Jason founded Royal Document Destruction. With that leap of faith, John and Laura moved back to Columbus, where John began passionately following his dream of business ownership. John spends the majority of his time at Royal Document Destruction’s facility managing the day-to-day operations, finances and sales for the company. He is most proud that the company has been recognized by Business First as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in Central Ohio for the past three years in a row.
Besides his very busy work schedule, John prioritizes his three sons’ activities as well as community involvement. John coaches at least one team a season for his children. He has been actively involved as a coach for baseball, basketball and soccer in the New Albany recreational league, and an assistant coach in the travel baseball division. In addition, John serves on the New Albany Little League Board, is the Treasurer for the New Albany Little League, and serves on the New Albany Community Finance Advisory Committee for the local schools.
In his spare time, John enjoys golfing and is a big Indianapolis Colts and Columbus Blue Jackets fan.
As a founding partner of Royal Document Destruction, Jason Radtke brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the paper recycling and document destruction industry.
Jason was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Bishop Watterson High School in 1989 and went on to get his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Miami University in 1993. Upon graduation, Jason joined Royal Paper Stock as a sales manager in the field of paper recycling. He worked with companies throughout Central Ohio and the entire Midwest to develop comprehensive recycling programs while marketing the material generated by this work. The background in paper recycling helped propel Jason, along with his sister Laura Daly, and brother-in-law John Daly to found Royal Document Destruction. In 1995, while the shredding industry was still in its infancy, Royal Document Destruction was founded.
Over the past 15 years, Royal Document Destruction and Royal Paper Stock have worked together to provide companies a full range of services to handle the needs of their clients including confidential shredding, paper recycling, product destruction, hard drive destruction, landfill diversion and plastic and metal recycling. The collaboration of these two companies has allowed Royal Document Destruction to provide the best shredding services at the lowest price to our customers.
Jason married Pam (Comer) in 2004. She is also a graduate of Miami University and they have two children. Zach was born in 2007 and Abby rounded out the family in late 2009. They spend their free time watching Ohio State Football, Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey, golfing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Laura Daly is the final member of the ownership team and she brings marketing and advertising experience to the group. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Laura graduated from Miami University with a degree in Public Relations/Communications. Prior to co-founding Royal Document Destruction with husband, John, and brother, Jason, she spent three years working for an advertising agency in Columbus and one year in the marketing department for a hospital in Champagne, Illinois. She has also continually coordinated marketing efforts at affiliate and family-owned Royal Paper Stock. As a partner in Royal Document Destruction, Laura has experience in every aspect of the business, but now focuses on the company’s marketing and advertising opportunities, as well as assisting with sales.
Laura’s primary occupation and joy of her life are her three boys– David, Jared and Jack. You can find her at various sporting fields/venues many evenings and most weekends around Central Ohio cheering on their teams. It is her favorite pastime!
Laura is dedicated to volunteerism in the community. She has previously been a member of The Junior League of Columbus and of the Pleasure Guild, which raises funds for Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She now spends time volunteering in her local community. She is especially involved at their sons’ New Albany schools and at the Church of the Resurrection, where Laura has helped teach religious education classes and volunteers as a crew leader at Bible Camp each summer. Laura and John live in New Albany with their boys and chocolate lab, C.C. In her limited but precious free time, Laura enjoys reading, exercise and travel.
